Bikotsu Kogao Association trains people with no prior experience as well as salon owners who want to add a new menu item. Through video lessons, a full-color printed textbook, and in-person practice, students build the skills to offer this hands-on facial massage technique professionally.

01 / LEARN
BASIC
The Basic course covers the core hands-on facial massage technique — a beauty-salon service, not a medical or skeletal procedure — together with the mindset and fundamentals of the industry, taught through video lessons and a 50-page full-color Japanese textbook. Students also complete required in-person practice sessions to confirm their technique.
ADVANCE
After completing Basic, the Advance course covers customer service, course proposals, marketing, and day-to-day salon operations, including tools such as SalonKit. Its included business and app support runs for 6 months from the Advance start date, with assigned course videos available for a total of one year from that same date. Any further support after that period is a separate agreement.
02 / PLAN
The Basic course requires 8 hours of in-person practice in two 4-hour sessions, with group classes mainly held in Tokyo and Osaka. Basic is normally completed within 6 months; an extension of up to 6 additional months requires consultation and approval. Please confirm dates and venues before arranging travel.
Classes are conducted in Japanese. Whether interpretation is needed, how it would be arranged, and the scope of any textbook translation or PDF distribution are discussed individually before enrollment; these are not yet offered as standard services.

No. Video lessons cover the groundwork, but the required in-person practice sessions in Japan are part of completing the course.
We accept inquiries from people living overseas who want to travel to Japan for training, as well as questions about on-site training abroad or introducing the program to a salon. Classes are in Japanese, and details such as interpretation, venue, and feasibility are confirmed individually — we can't yet guarantee availability in every country.
